EWC 25: Meet The Must-Watch Players Of Week 3

Week 3 of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 promises intense competition across multiple games, and some players are already standing out as ones to watch. From seasoned veterans to rising stars, these players are shaping the narrative in their respective tournaments.

Serral: StarCraft II (BASILISK)

When it comes to StarCraft II, few players command as much respect as Joona “Serral” Sotala. Widely regarded as one of the greatest Zerg players outside Korea, Serral remains a fan favorite and a strong contender for the EWC 25 StarCraft II title. Many are hoping for a repeat clash between Serral and Team Liquid’s Clément “Clem” Desplanches, but even without that matchup, Serral looks ready to dominate the stage once again.

Meng “DaShuai” Jiajun: Honor of Kings (AG.AL)

Meng “DaShuai” Jiajun isn’t just a new name on the roster he’s stepping into a legacy role, replacing former finals MVP Chen “Cat” Zhengzheng as AG.AL’s Roamer, DaShuai has already proven himself in the King Pro League, earning multiple weekly honors over the past year. But now comes his biggest challenge yet leading his team at the Honor of Kings World Champion Cup. With AG.AL entering the EWC Playoffs after a bye, DaShuai will need to deliver under mounting pressure.

aBeZy: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (FaZe Clan)

FaZe Clan’s Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris is chasing history at Call of Duty: BO6 at EWC 25. Alongside teammate Chris “Simp” Lehr, aBeZy is aiming to make FaZe the first-ever two-time EWC champions in Call of Duty. While their dominance has dipped since their 2024 run, their experience and teamwork keep them in the conversation as one of the top teams to watch. But with nearly every Call of Duty League team in the mix, defending their title won’t come easy.

One of the most exciting junglers in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol is looking to help ONIC make a strong run at the Mid-Season Cup. ONIC, a powerhouse in Indonesia with a history of podium finishes, is one of the biggest favorites at EWC 25. But their international struggles in past tournaments mean Kairi must bring his best if the team wants to make history on the global stage.

Carrilho: PUBG Mobile (Alpha7 Esports)

Reigning world champions Alpha7 Esports are back at the PUBG Mobile World Cup, and Lucas “Carrilho” Carrilho remains their key player. After qualifying through tough regional battles as a third seed, Alpha7 has something to prove. Carrilho, known for his consistency in high-pressure matches, will be crucial as the team faces one of the most competitive lineups in recent memory.
