F1 2026 is just around the corner, and the build-up to the new season is packed with launches, tests, and big moments for teams and manufacturers. From new liveries to debut projects and three rounds of testing, there is plenty to keep fans busy before lights go out in Australia.
F1 2026: Team And Livery Launches
The F1 2026 pre-season story really begins with Red Bull and Racing Bulls on January 15, when they join forces with Ford in Detroit to reveal their 2026 liveries and mark the start of the Red Bull Ford Powertrains era. This will be Ford’s big moment as they formally step in as power unit suppliers for both teams.
Five days later, on January 20, Audi made their much-awaited F1 debut in style with a launch event in Berlin, presenting their full race livery as it officially took over the former Kick Sauber outfit. On the same day in Tokyo, Honda will unveil their new power unit for the exclusive Aston Martin partnership, with senior figures from Honda, Aston Martin, and Formula 1 set to attend a special launch event.
January 23 will be one of the busiest days of the F1 2026 pre-season. Alpine hold their launch in Barcelona, Haas reveals their 2026 livery online, and Ferrari also presents their new car, with the Scuderia confirming the date but keeping further event details under wraps for now.
Cadillac then stepped into the spotlight on February 8 with a bold livery reveal during a Super Bowl television advert, ahead of their first season on the F1 grid with Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez leading the charge. A day later, on February 9, Aston Martin launched the AMR26, teasing the car earlier with a social post that hinted at Adrian Newey’s influence as he takes over as Team Principal from 2026.
F1 2026: Pre-Season Testing Schedule
With major technical regulation changes coming in F1 2026, teams will get three separate opportunities to run their new cars before the first race. The opening test is a private session at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from January 26 to 30, giving teams an extended five-day window to shake down their machines away from full public glare.
The second F1 2026 test runs from February 11 to 13 at the Bahrain International Circuit, shifting the focus to representative race conditions under warmer temperatures and on a track that has become a regular testing venue. This three-day test will already start to reveal early patterns in performance as teams compare long runs, qualifying simulations, and reliability.
The final F1 2026 pre-season test will also take place in Bahrain, from February 18 to 20, just days before the opening round. This is the last chance for everyone to fine-tune setups, try final updates, and lock in race weekend procedures before the serious business begins.
F1 2026 Season Opener In Australia
Once all the launches and tests are done, the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship officially begins with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 6-8. The race will also form the first half of a double header, followed by the Chinese Grand Prix one week later on what is set to be an intense 24-round calendar.
