TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Oct. 25, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Today, the Florida Forest Service announced the launch of its latest campaign, “We’re Calling You Out.” The new campaign aims to increase awareness of Florida’s State Forests and the ample activities each has to offer, and ultimately encourage Floridians and visitors to get out, explore and recreate responsibly.
With 38 State Forests and one ranch, the Florida Forest Service offers visitors a low-to-no-cost opportunity to recreate right in their backyard. Each State Forest offers a unique experience and a variety of activities for visitors to enjoy. Some popular activities include camping, hunting, hiking, biking and off-highway vehicle (OHV) riding. Check with your local State Forest for available activities.
“One of the best parts about living in Florida is being able to experience everything the outdoors has to offer,” said Erin Albury, State Forester and Director of Florida Forest Service. “We’re launching this campaign during State Forest Awareness Month to encourage people to get out and enjoy our great State Forests.”
From camping to fishing to hiking, there’s a recreational activity for all levels of outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can paddle their way through a peaceful river, saddle up and explore horse trails or pilot their own adventure at one of the three State Forest OHV riding areas.
