Ind vs SA: Rishabh Pant becomes the first ever T20I captain to lose the first five tosses

Indian cricket team are up against South Africa in the fifth and final game of the 5-match T20I series on Sunday, 19th June at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. In this game, South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first against India. This was South Africa’s fifth consecutive toss win against India in this 5-match T20I series.

Rishabh Pant who was named as the captain of the Indian cricket team for this series lost the toss again in the final game as well. Rishabh hasn’t won a single toss after becoming captain of the Indian cricket team. The wicketkeeper batter also became the first-ever captain in T20Is to lose all the coin tosses in his first five games. Indian cricket team has batted first in every match of this 5-match T20I series. However, it didn’t matter to them as the series is now tied at 2-2 against South Africa.

Rishabh Pant did well in the previous two games for India not with the bat but with the captaincy. India is batting first in the final game as well at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Sunday. To win the series they would hope to give a huge total to South Africa in this fifth T20I.
