The Milan home “San Siro“ will host the 2nd leg between the two titans. The German giants will go head to head against the Italian Champions.
The 1st leg was very chaotic and even after the lead from Inter Milan, it is hard to separate the two sides and even harder to predict which team will go through to the Semi-Final. Inter Milan will be having an edge with a goal and also the home crowd support but Bayern won’t be sweating themselves as they know how easy comebacks are staged in the Champions League.
Bayern Munich won their last Champions League in the Covid Era in 2020 and Inter won it last in 2010. Surprisingly, Inter Milan won the trophy after defeating Bayern Munich in the final by 2-0. Diego Milito, the hero of the match scored a brace against Bayern who had no response.
This match will be a revenge for the 2010 final as Bayern would be looking to go all out and seal the victory at the Lion’s den.
Injuries continue to plague the Bavarians, with several key players still sidelined. Alphonso Davies, Hiroki Ito, Jamal Musiala, Manuel Neuer and Dayot Upamecano will all miss the trip to Italy.
In Musiala’s absence, Raphael Guerreiro and Thomas Müller are in contention to start in the central attacking midfield role. Guerreiro featured there in the first leg against Inter, while Müller was given the nod against Dortmund in der Klassiker.
Inter, meanwhile, come into the second leg full of confidence after securing a 3-1 win over Cagliari. The Serie A leaders will aim to complete the job at home, buoyed by recent form and strong home support.
The Italians will be without Denzel Dumfries and Piotr Zieliński.
