Further speaking about his captaincy stint at Kerala, Samson said that he believes that he looks that captaincy is like service.

“I look at captaincy as more of a service to the team. A captain is someone who is there to provide right kinf of atmosphere that every individual requires in a team and backs each one of them. It’s a lot about the man-management skills- giving positive feedback to your players, understanding where they are coming from. I firmly believe that a captain is only good if the team is good,” he stated.

Sanju will be playing as one of the four wicket keepers to lead the team in the IPL 2021.

“A wicket keeper see a lot more things, analyze the game better and is one step ahead. If you feel you’re in the best position to lead the team as a wicketkeeper, it becomes a lot easier,” Samson added.

He concluded the interview by saying that he would not like to put too much pressure on Chris Morris. Rajasthan Royals ended at the bottom of the IPL season last year, but the 26-year-old believe that they did not do too much wrong in the previous season.
