IPL 2021: Auctions for IPL 2022 will be underway soon!
Bidding for new IPL teams planned on October 17,
Well, well, well! Firstly, the franchises are all set! The Indian Premier League of 2021 will begin on 19th September this year. The teams Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will be playing on Sunday. All the preparations for the same are already underway. Auctions for IPL 2022 are to begin soon!
Amidst this, The BCCI is planning to have closed bidding for the two new IPL teams on October 17 and the bids to buy the sides can be made till October 5.
“The Governing Council of the IPL invites bids to acquire the right to own and operate 1 (one) of the 2 (two) new teams proposed to be introduced to take part in the Indian Premier League from the 2022 season, through a tender process,” the BCCI had said in a statement.
It is to be noted that any party interested in the bid is required to purchase an ITT.
Not only that, those who satisfy the eligibility criteria will be allowed to bid. Purchase of the ITT alone will not entitle a person for the bidding. As a result, E-bidding will begin!
