Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) played a mesmerizing game while playing their first match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai against Rajasthan Royals. They registered a comfortable win by 10 wickets against RR, and with the win, RCB has become the only unbeatable side in the IPL 2021 thus far.
Entering the field, Virat Kohl won the toss and decided to field first. Before the match, however, there was a question in the air about how RCB will adjust to the flat and fast pitch of the Wankhede Stadium. However, the bowling unit gave a fitting reply to all the critics as they owned the powerplay while dismissing three wickets in just 32 runs.
As the game progressed, during the second innings, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal entered the field with a different mood as they started hitting the ball from the very start. Devdutt smashed boundaries and sixes during the first over and Virat gave him his time. However, towards the end, Kohli couldn’t stop himself and changed his gear to aggression.
Both the players played till the end, where Padikkal slammed the second century of the IPL while Kohli gave a phenomenal performance.
