Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the entire IPL season. However, despite this, he will get full salary for this season. Shreyas Iyer’s salary is 7 crores and he will get his full salary. According to BCCI’s insurance policy, they are entitled to this compensation.

According to the policy implemented in 2011, if a centrally contracted player is unable to play in the IPL due to injury or accident, then he will get compensation. This compensation is according to the contractual amount of the players and the number of matches they will miss. Shreyas Iyer was hurt while playing for the Indian team and due to this, according to the rules, he will get his full salary of 7 crores.

Shreyas Iyer suffered a shoulder injury during the India-England Limited Overseas Series and due to this he was ruled out of the entire IPL. Iyer will undergo his shoulder surgery on 8 April and will take at least 5 months to recover. In such a situation, apart from the IPL, he will also be out of the England tour to be held in August.

In the absence of Shreyas Iyer, Delhi Capitals have appointed Rishabh Pant as their captain. Pant has been playing for the Delhi Capitals for quite some time and was perhaps the most prominent player in the team. In such a situation, after being made the captain, the franchise will expect better performance this time and will want to win the title. Shreyas Iyer has wished Rishabh Pant for his good performance in the IPL.
