IPL 2021: Despite losing the game Jamieson gives PBKS the real pain as Meredith gets injured

Punjab Kings fast bowler Riley Meredith took a blow in his knee and was forced to leave the pitch

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Kyle Jamieson blasted his shot towards the Australian pacer Riley Meredith, who left his over incomplete to get his medicals. In the last over of the RCB inning Jamieson hit the ball straight toward Meredith, he failed to respond quickly as it was a catch and took a blow in his knee.

Meredith known for his consistent 140 km/hr speed came to bowl in the last over the innings and Punjab King’s win was just a formality till then as 47 runs were required in the last over. Jamieson hit the first ball for a six and collected some runs to get a little close. The second ball was nasty and it was hitten in the same manner, though it was a catch the speed of the ball after coming from the bat must have been around 170-190km/hr. With the same speed, it hit straight to Meredith. He was smiling at the end, but the scenes were scary to watch. Meredith had to leave his last over and Mohammed Shami completed it.

Meredith played an important role in the bowling unit this season for PBKS and took a wicket to inform Padikkal against RCB. PBKS will hope he is good to continue in the upcoming matches
