It was finally daylight for the Sunrisers Hyderabad as they registered their first win of the season in their 4th match against the Punjab Kings. The team was dominant for most of the time in their game today.
The orange army was able to restrict the Kings for just 120 runs and chased the target with 8 balls to the sphere. In the bowling unit Khaleel Ahmed shined with 3 wickets for just 21 runs in his spell, Abhishek Sharma also took 2 wickets for just 24 runs in 4 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, and Siddharth Kaul took 1 wicket each. All of the SRH bowlers were economic too as none of them conceded many runs.
While replying against the target, the Orange Army openers played with patience as the total was not too big. It was not a very quick start as the players took as much time as they wanted, something which was contrary to SRH fans’ expectations as they finish low-scoring matches faster than anyone. In the middle of the innings, the team lost the wicket of David Warner who played a run a ball 37 after which Jonny Bairstow anchored the innings and notched up 63 runs off 56 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes and took the game in SRH’s favour.
This win would surely act as a confidence booster for the former winners as they would look to play in their clinical style in which they are known for.
