If both CSK and LSG win their games then their tally will rise to  17 points and they will take the 2nd and 3rd spots. RCB with a win can only face competition from Mumbai Indians who also can reach 16 points. RCB has NRR in their favour and is also playing their game after knowing the result of MI’s last game. If MI wins their game then RCB would have to win to qualify and the margin of victories could play out to be crucial.

Gujarat Titans have already qualified for the playoffs and could even rest some of their overworked players like Mohammed Shami. Any result from this clash does not make any difference to GT in playoffs. Either a win or loss, GT will still be in the top-2 position and will play Qualifier 1 in Chennai.
