Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya is doing a great job with the ball in the ongoing IPL 2025 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Hardik Pandya Leads from the Front with the Ball
The pitch at Wankhede is behaving differently than usual, but Hardik is leading from the front. He has bowled very well, hitting the right areas and making it tough for the Sunrisers Hyderabad batters to score runs.
Hardik Pandya gave his team an important breakthrough by dismissing Abhishek Sharma. After that, he kept the pressure on the Sunrisers Hyderabad batters. He also made things difficult for Travis Head, who struggled in the match.
On the 4th ball of the 10th over, Hardik Pandya bowled a full delivery aimed at the stumps. Travis Head tried to flick it off his pads and ended up hitting it straight to Will Jacks at deep mid-wicket. As Head began walking back to the dugout, the no-ball siren suddenly went off, leaving Mumbai fans shocked.
The No-Ball Drama: Nita and Akash Ambani’s Reactions
Hardik checked with the umpire, Jayaraman Madanagopal, and then walked back to his run-up. But what grabbed everyone’s attention was the reaction from Mumbai Indians’ owners, Nita Ambani and Akash Ambani.
They were celebrating the wicket along with the team and support staff when the siren rang out. Standing near the boundary, Nita Ambani looked stunned as her excitement quickly turned into disappointment.

Luckily for the Mumbai Indians, it didn’t hurt them too much as Travis Head couldn’t make a big impact with the bat. Will Jacks dismissed the Sunrisers Hyderabad batter after scoring 28 runs from 29 balls. His strike rate was below 100, and he managed to hit only three boundaries during his time at the crease.
Pandya didn’t finish strong with the ball, conceding 42 runs and taking 1 wicket in his 4 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
However, he made a big impact with the bat, scoring 21 runs off 9 balls, including 3 fours and 1 six. Thanks to his efforts, Mumbai Indians comfortably chased down the 163-run target, winning their second straight game. Next, they’ll face Chennai Super Kings on Sunday, April 20, at Wankhede Stadium.
