Rishabh Pant back in DC again
Rishabh Pant started his career with the Delhi Capitals, and he almost played a decade for the franchise. Rishabh began his journey in 2016, and till 2024 he played for the DC. And now once again he will be back to his IPL roots. Pant also has captained the DC in 43 matches across four seasons from 2021 to 2024, and in 2025 he was released by the franchise for the Mega Auction and bought by the LSG for a record 27.50 crore. Also, Pant is the only cricketer in DC to make his most appearances for the franchise, more than any player for the Delhi Capitals.
Kuldeep Yadav to join LSG
The Chinaman spinner will now once again represent his state team in the Indian Premier League 2027. The left-arm’s season was not that good with the Delhi Capitals in IPL season 2026. He took only 10 wickets in 12 matches with an average of 38.10 and a bowling economy of 10.29. Although he was picked by Sanjeev Goenka’s Lucknow Super Giants.
Here is a breakthrough of trade deal
LSG retained ₹13.75 crore in their budget after signing Kuldeep Yadav for ₹13.25 crore. DC, meanwhile, incurred a net deduction of ₹1.25 crore, having secured Rishabh Pant for ₹15 crore, ₹1.75 crore higher than Kuldeep’s contract value.
This would be regarded as one of the biggest trade deals in IPL history. As Rishabh Pant downed his fee by up to 44%, he agreed on 15 crore. Back in 2024 the Lucknow Super Giants made a huge bid just to acquire Rishabh Pant for the squad. At the time, Sanjeev Goenka, the owner of LSG, had said, “Pant can stay for 15 long years, and he could lead the side to four or five IPL titles easily. After this he was trolled brutally for giving such a statement, and now, once again, Pant is back to Delhi Capitals.
