When Karthik was doing a commentary during a match, he jokingly passed a comment which angered some people and expressed their anger on Twitter. The former Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik has adopted well to his new role as a commentator and also as an analyst.

The cricket fans have highly praised the former wicket-keeper batsman for his analysis of the game. And what they felt differently is that Dinesh Karthik was a ‘breath of the fresh air’ in the commentary box. Just when he was doing a commentary during the match, he jokingly passed a comment which seems to trigger the anger of some people, who expressed their anger on Twitter.

This is what Dinesh Karthik said: –
“Batsman not liking bats, they go hand in hand. Most of the batters don’t seem to like their bats. They either like another person bat. Bats are like neighbour’s wife. They always feel better’. This comment which was passed by Dinesh Karthik seems to have not gone well with the fans. They felt this comment is rather sexist and misogynistic. Dinesh Karthik seems to have apologized for this action of his and also said he got ‘a lot of stick’ from his mother and wife for making these comments on air.

Dinesh Karthik apologized by saying this – “I want to apologize for what happened last game. It’s not really what I intended. I just got it all wrong. I apologize to everybody. It’s definitely not the right thing to say”. He said all of this when he was on air during the 3rd ODI that happened on Sunday. He also added by saying – “I got a lot of stick from my wife and my mom. He felt really sorry for that and said this shouldn’t happen again.

Dinesh Karthik was also part of commentating duties during the World Test Championship, was been giving regular updates about the weather in Southampton. He seemed to have regularly uploaded picture on Twitter of the Ages Bowl and so went on to call himself the official weatherman of the test match.
