“Mohammad Shami is a criminal” – All India Muslim Jamaat President gives shocking statement
Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami is currently busy with Team India in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final in Dubai. Earlier, during the semi-final match, he came under the target of the followers of the Muslim religion by doing one thing. On this issue, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, President of All India Muslim Jamaat (AIMJ), has also given a shocking statement on Shami.
In fact, Mohammad Shami was seen drinking energy drinks during the semi-final match played between India and Australia in Dubai, after which he became the target of trollers. He had to face severe criticism on social media for not observing Roza.
AIMJ President Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi called Mohammed Shami a criminal
Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, President of All India Muslim Jamaat, has called Mohammad Shami a criminal for not observing Roza. Citing Shariat, he said that Shami is guilty of doing anti-religious work in front of the whole world despite being a famous cricketer.
Maulana said, “Roza is one of the five duties of Islam. Any healthy person who does not observe Roza is a sinner. Mohammad Shami has given a wrong message by drinking water or energy drinks on the field.”
He further said, “If Shami is playing, it means he is completely fit. In such a situation, not keeping Roza is a crime according to Shariat. He will have to answer for this before Allah.”
Muslim community got angry on social media
People have also criticized Shami on social media for this act. Many users wrote that being a big player, Shami should have followed his religious responsibilities. However, some fans also supported Shami and said that it is more important for a player to stay fit.
India will face New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final
The final of the ICC Champions Trophy will now be played between India and New Zealand on March 9. In the semi-finals, Mohammed Shami played an important role in India’s victory by taking 3 wickets. In such a situation, Team India will hope that Shami will shine in the final as well.
