New Additions in the WPL 2025 Auction

In the WPL 2025 auction, 19 players were sold. This included five overseas players, with one from an Associate Nation. The Mumbai Indians (MI) made notable signings and added three new players to their squad.

The highest bid in the auction was for all-rounder Simran Shaikh, bought by Gujarat Giants for INR 1.9 crores. The next most expensive pick was West Indies player Deandra Dottin, who was also signed by Gujarat Giants for INR 1.7 crores.

For MI, their biggest purchase was 16-year-old wicket-keeper G Kamalini from Tamil Nadu. She was picked for INR 1.6 crores. Kamalini had performed excellently in the Women’s Under-19 T20 Trophy, scoring 311 runs in 8 innings with a strike rate of 123.90.
