Indian cricket team and Ireland will play against each other in Dublin on Sunday, 26th June. The first T20I is due to play as Hardik Pandya won his first toss for India. All-rounder Hardik Pandya will be leading the Team India for the first time. He was named skipper by BCCI for these two T20Is against Ireland.
Hardik has been given some young set of players for this matches and it will be a great opportunity for him to show his captaincy skills in Indian jersey. After winning the toss ahead of the first T20I against Ireland, Hardik talked about his role he will play in these matches as a leader.
“My role is simple, just back the players and ask them to play with freedom and express themselves,” said Hardik Pandya after the toss of first T20I on Sony Ten Network.
Skipper Hardik Pandya in his pre-match press conference said that there will be some new names on the team sheet but they need to make sure that they go with their best playing XI even if it is Ireland. Hardik Pandya has won the toss in the first T20I and chose to bowl first against Ireland in his very first game in charge.
