Pakistani Batsman Babar Azam had a day to remember as he reached 2000 T20 runs and became the fastest batsman to do so. He also surpassed Virat Kohli, who was the previous holder of this record taking 4 innings less than him.

Babar has recently scored a half-century against Zimbabwe in the first innings of the last T20 match of the series as he reached the milestone of being the quickest to reach 2000 T20 runs. It took Babar 52 innings out of 54 matches to set this record.

The Right-hander made his T20 debut against England in 2016 and also has 1 century and 15 half-centuries to his name. His highest score in the shortest format of the game is 122 runs.

The Pakistani batsman is also leading his side in the T20Is.
