Fastest Fifty In Women’s T20Is: During the 3rd PAK vs ZIM match of the Women’s T20I between Pakistan and Zimbabwe at Karachi, Fatima Sana became the fastest woman to score fifty runs, breaking the previous record set by Devine, Litchfield and Ghosh.
She achieved the record in only 15 balls, surpassing the previous record of 18 balls by each player. Pakistan women won the 3rd T20i by 133 runs by managing to get the Zimbabwe team all out at just 90 runs.

Pakistan were already in a great position at the score of 152 runs for four wickets after 17 overs of the final T20 match against Zimbabwe on Friday when Fatima Sana recorded her name in women’s cricket T20I record.
On her first ball against Michelle Mavunga, Sana started off with a ferociuos boundary. Then from there, she didn’t stop and continued the onslaught against Zimbabwe’s bowling attack. In an over of Kudzai Chigora she hit four straight boundaries.
In the 19th over against Nomvelo Sibanda, Sana Mir, the captain of Pakistan, smashed 3 fours and 2 sixes (4, 4, 6, 6, 4), making a total of 24 runs in an over. After this she was already at 48 runs in just 14 balls.

Fatima Sana Finishes Unbeaten on 62 off 19 Balls
Sana’s explosive innings continued even after scoring 50 runs. She remained not out at 62 runs in 19 balls which included 10 fours and 2 sixes. Due Sana’s quickfire innings Pakistan reached their 2nd highest total of T20Is of 234 runs at the loss of 4 wickets.

Fatima Sana got the fastest women’s T20 fifty with just 15 balls, equaling the record for fastest-half century in all formats with an official data of past. The previous two players to achieve this feat were Marie Kelly (Warwickshire) in 2022 and Laura Harris (Otago) in 2025.

Fatima Sana’s Stunning Form Continues in 2026
Fatima Sana is currently is the number one female cricketer on Pakistan’s all-time list, and her batting display in this series made it even more solid for her to stay in this place.
With 229 runs in five innings at an unbelievable strike rate of 206.30 this year, she is also the highest run-getter for Pakistan Women in the T20 format. Earlier this year she had a career high score of 90 off 41 against South Africa.
Previous Pakistan Record Broken
Prior to breaking the record of Fastest Women’s fifty in T20 by Sana, the fastest fifty scored by a Pakistani female cricketer was held by Nida Dar who had achieved her fifty in just 20 balls against South Africa in 2019.
