NBA G League
The league was founded in 2001. NBA G League is the NBA’s professional mini league. Earlier, it was known as NBDL-National Basketball Development League from year 2001 to 2005 and then NBA D-League- NBA Development League from years 2005 to 2017. In 2017-18 season, league was renamed as NBA G League as Gatorade, an American brand which includes sports nutrition products became the title sponsor of the said league. This mini league organisation started with eight teams; the league then expanded to 15 teams. The league train coaches, players, trainers, officials, and front office staff so as to improve league’s rank.
