Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu tied knot with her fiance Venkata Datta Sai on Sunday in Udaipur. The couple exchanged vows in presence of their families and closed ones.
Culture and Tourism Minister of Jodhpur, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was also present at the joyous occasion and shared the first picture of the wedding on his X (formerly Twitter) handle.
Sindhu and Dutta, who is Hyderabad-based Executive Director at Posidex Technologies, got engaged on Saturday.
The bride and the groom were dressed in traditional wedding attire as they sought blessings for their new beginnings.
The wedding took place on Sunday night at 11:20 PM at the picturesque Raffles Hotel by Uday Sagar Lake in Rajasthan. The event was a private affair, with the attendance of family and close friends.
The celebrations will continue as the couple is set to host a reception party in Sindhu’s hometown, Hyderabad on December 24.
Sindhu and Dutta, who is Hyderabad-based Executive Director at Posidex Technologies, got engaged on Saturday.
The Sangeet ceremony was held on December 20, followed by Haldi, Pellikuthuru, and Mehendi the next day.
Talking about the wedding, Sindhu’s father had stated that the two families are well acquainted with each other, but the wedding plans came together within a month. The couple chose this date since Sindhu will be busy with training and competitions starting next year.
Recently, Sindhu ended her Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour drought of over two years by defeating China’s Wu Luo Yu in the finals of the Syed Modi India International badminton tournament in Lucknow.
This was Sindhu’s first BWF World Tour title since the Singapore Open title in July 2022, which was a BWF Super 500 tournament, as compared to Syed Modi India International, which is a BWF Super 300 tournament.

Venkata Datta Sai is an executive director at Posidex Technologies. He has earned a Diploma in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the Foundation of Liberal and Management Education where he started his academic journey.
Sai then pursued a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Flame University, graduating in 2018. He has a Master’s degree in Data Science and Machine Learning from the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bangalore.
Datta Sai worked as a summer intern at JSW, and later as an in-house consultant. He also managed the JSW-owned Delhi Capitals, an Indian Premier League (IPL) team.
In 2019, he served as the Managing Director of Sour Apple Asset Management and as well as the Executive Director at Posidex Technologies.
At Posidex, he is tasked with transforming banking processes adopted by major banks.
