Rishabh Pant reveals the name of four mentors who he would seek advice from

The Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant will complete 3 years since he started playing test cricket for India in this England tour of India test series. It was three ago when Rishabh Pant made his Test debut when India toured England in the year 2018. Rishabh Pant who is well known for his big-hitting has played a few T20I for India before making his test debut. It was then in England Pant began to raise as a Test cricketer. He not only hit a six in the second ball of the test career but managed to score a century against England in his third test only.

The last time when India toured England he was just a debutant, but his time around he goes as one of the key players and a star performer for India in Test cricket. The Indian wicket-keeper batsman gave a strong comeback to his international career by showcasing some match-winning in the test series in Australia. He then followed it up with some good performances in the home series against England. Gradually Rishabh Pant got opportunities in the limited-overs format as well. And more importantly, he made those opportunities count.

When the Indian wicket-keeper batsman talking about his journey in international cricket so far, he reveals the names of four individuals to who he would go for advice. When it comes to improvements in his batting, he takes advice from Indian captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma. They are the seniors and also the experienced players on the side and they do bat ahead of him in all formats of the game. He reveals how his senior teammates are there to help him out.

Rishabh Pant said that “All the seniors and coaching staff, like, I talk to Rohit Bhai a lot. Talking about the game, previous matches, what we could have done. In the future, if a similar situation happens, what are the possible outcomes, what more can we add). Virat bhaiya is there to help me out with the technical stuff, especially about playing in England, standing a bit forward or back”.

The other two mentors the Rishabh Pant revealed were the Indian head coach Ravi Shastri and off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin for different reasons. “Ravi Bhai (head coach Ravi Shastri) is also there, I speak to him a lot because he has played enough cricket all over the world, he has the idea”, Pant added.

Rishabh Pant tells the guidance he gets from Ravichandran Ashwin “Ash Bhai (Ravichandran Ashwin) he always has an idea about what the batsman could do. So, when he bowls, as a batsman I can ask him what he is thinking. So, as a player, I just want to learn from every person”.
