Wimbledon’s welcome post featuring Rohit Sharma became an instant hit on the internet as it has already surpassed 4.5 million likes thus becoming the most-liked post of the season.
It has gained even more reactions than Wimbledon’s post for 2024 season’s champion Carlos Alcaraz.
During his visit, Rohit was asked about his favorite tennis player. Responding to this, Rohit named the eight-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer as his favorite player. Hailing Roger Federer’s qualities as a person, Rohit said:
“Just the person he is… more than the icon, more than the player he is.”
He added: “Just the humility he brings. [You know] after winning so much of it, the way he is off the court and how he treats himself on the court as well, I just love that.”
Meanwhile, Sharma is not the only cricketer to have attended a Wimbledon match. Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Ben Stokes, Joe Root, Jos Buttler, etc. are a few of the most-seen visitors to the center court.
