Since then, he was out of the Mumbai Indians playing 11. In IPL 2026 on 12th April, he played his last match. Since then, he has been taking rest amid Hamstring injury. Now, Rohit is seen doing training ahead of a possible return for the Mumbai Indians against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 29th April.

Since that setback, Rohit Sharma has been putting in steady work alongside the medical and support staff, aiming for a timely return. It is now understood that the former India skipper is highly likely to be in contention for selection in the upcoming game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Rohit has been actively training and continuing his gym sessions without any trouble, with the physio team encouraged by his progress. Importantly, he hasn’t experienced any pain or discomfort at any stage of his recovery, strengthening hopes of his availability for the match.

Rohit batted beautifully in his very first match of this season and hit a half century and till now The former Mumbai Indians captain has made 137 runs from four outings, averaging 45.67, and is now expected to be in the mix for selection for the clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
