In 2015, Jeje was also named the ISL Emerging Player of the Year.

Former coach John Gregory made Jeje the main striker, even though many teams focused on foreign players for that role. Gregory’s faith in Jeje paid off, helping Chennaiyin FC win the 2017-18 ISL title.
