Making a grand entry into the gulf-country this time is tennis with the Six Kings Slam where the best tennis players in men will grace the hard court in Riyadh.
Six Kings Slam: Schedule
The exhibition tournament will be played from October 16 to 19, including a rest day on the 18th. According to ATP rules, no exhibition event can conduct the sport for three consecutive days. It will be held after the conclusion of Masters in Shanghai.
Six Kings Slam: Participants
The tennis showpiece will feature six of the biggest names in the sport, including the 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal, four-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz, 2022 US Open winner Daniil Medvedev, Two-time Grand Slam winner Jannik Sinner and the highly-talented 21-year-old Holger Rune.
The much-awaited tennis event will be a part of Riyadh Season and will not count in the ranking points or be part of the men’s ATP Tour.
Prize Money
The centre of attraction about this event is its record-breaking prize pool. A whopping 1.5m dollars will be awarded to each player, with the champion taking home a staggering 6 million dollars, the highest ever prize reward in the history of tennis.
Although the tournament will not affect the ATP rankings as it is an exhibition event, the most glaring feature of the competition is its lucrative prize money. The prize amount for the Six Kings Slam exceeds that of any other Grand Slam, including the coveted Wimbledon Championship.
To put things into perspective, the champion at the US Open was awarded $3.6 million, which was the highest prize money for any grand slam this year. The Six Kings Slam title winner will walk away with almost double that amount.

Top Missing Players
The most prominent men’s singles players to have missed the tournament are world number two Alexander Zverev and World No. 12 Stefanos Tsitsipas. While five of the six are Grand Slam winners, Holger Rune has not won a major title yet. Many have raised eye-brows over Rune’s inclusion and Zverev’s exclusion, given the German has an Olympic gold to his name which he won at 2020 Tokyo.
The glittering tournament marks the latest efforts into tennis for Saudi Arabia, which is hosting the men’s tour’s Next Gen ATP Finals for top 21-and-under players in Jeddah through 2027.
