South Africa has announced its squad for the tri-series with Pakistan and New Zealand. Fast bowler Gerald Coetzee, who was injured during the Test series against Sri Lanka, has recovered from his hamstring injury and is back in the squad.

The squad has been announced for South Africa’s opening match of the tournament, as many players are still involved in the ongoing SA20. The Proteas will play their first match on February 10 against New Zealand in Karachi.

Proteas Men’s white-ball head coach Rob Walter has announced an initial 12-player squad for South Africa’s first match of the series against New Zealand on February 10 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. ODI captain Temba Bavuma will lead the team.

The squad includes six uncapped players: Matthew Breetzke from Dafabet Warriors, Meeka-eel Prince from North West University Dragons, and his teammate Gideon Peters, along with fast bowler Eathan Bosch from Hollywoodbets Dolphins and spinner Senuran Muthusamy from Warriors. Western Province all-rounder Mihlali Mpongwana has also been named. This is his second call-up to the 50-over squad after being part of the team against India in 2023.

Fast bowler Gerald Coetzee, who recovered from a left hamstring strain, has also been included to strengthen the attack.
