Earlier, Keshav Maharaj made headlines for having the ‘Ram Siya Ram’ song played during Test matches and ODIs on India’s tour of South Africa when he stepped up to bat. This garnered reactions from KL Rahul (during ODIs) and Virat Kohli (during Tests). The 33-year-old explained that it was his way of expressing gratitude to God.

So, it’s the least I can do, and it also helps get me in the zone. Walking out onto the field with ‘Ram Siya Ram’ playing in the background is a nice feeling,” he added.
