Indian cricket team defeated West Indies on Sunday night 24th July in the second ODI to clinch the series. India is currently leading the three-match ODI series against West Indies by 2-0. It was an amazing all-round performance from the Indian team to have the series to their name. Skipper Shikhar Dhawan was very happy after the game and appreciated some of the players who did well in the second ODI.
India clinched an another close victory against West Indies just like they did in the first ODI when they defeated the host by just 3 runs. Shikhar Dhawan applauds IPL franchise and feels it gives a huge chances to the players. Skipper Dhawan feels due to Indian Premier League, the young players perform well in the big stages.
“It was a great team performance. Boys didn’t lose the self belief, that is amazing. Iyer, Sanju, Axar everyone was amazing, Even Avesh came out in his debut game and scored those 11 important runs. Thanks to IPL, they perform on a huge stage,” said Shikhar Dhawan in the post-match presentation telecasted on DD National. Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel all scored half-centuries in the game and Axar won it for India to seal the series.
