This WWE superstar to have a role in ‘Barbie’ movie

WWE superstars have often appeared on the big screens in Hollywood. One of the best examples being Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Sixteen-time WWE World Champion, John Cena has appeared in quite a few films. The most popular feature of the Cenation leader would be the Fast and Furious series. The WWE Superstar is expected to have a cameo in the ‘Barbie’ movie.

The comedy/family picture Barbie by Greta Gerwig is expected to include John Cena. After a successful pro wrestling career, the wrestler-turned-actor is achieving new heights in Hollywood. Cena was putting the finishing touches on the comedy film Ricky Stanicky prior to WrestleMania 39. John Cena is cast alongside the lead actors of the movie Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. The movie is set to release on 21st of July, 2023. The movie will also feature famous singer, Dua Lipa who will be making her acting debut.

John Cena’s role in the movie

The details of John Cena’s part in the movie are unknown. He wasn’t shown in the movie’s official trailer. Fans guessed that John might be portraying a different version of Ken in the film. However, there are rumors that John Cena, 45, will make a cameo appearance in the movie because he isn’t shown in the movie’s posters or trailer. 

John Cena has been landing significant roles in a number of movies back-to-back so far. Cena recently became the topic of conversation after images of him wearing high heels and a checkered skirt began to spread online. In Kevin Hart’s sequel to Die Hart, the Cenation leader similarly portrayed a tough guy dressed in a satin robe.

The sixteen-time WWE Champion also occasionally makes appearances in WWE in between his Hollywood gigs. For the United States Championship match at WrestleMania, John Cena was matched up against the United States Champion, Austin Theory. Theory beat up John before landing a low blow to the body. Austin Theory managed to get away with the illegal technique and pin the legendary wrestler to win while the referee was still partially aware.
