UEFA Nations League: Austria and France walk away with a point each

Mbappe’s late equaliser help France secure a point in the game against Austria.

Austria was up against World champions France in the UEFA Nations League on Friday night, 10th June. It was a game full of entertainment even if it ended with a scoreline of 1-1. Austria played a great game agaisnt the 2018 World Cup winners (France national football team).

Austria’s manager Ralf Rangnick has changed the team spirit since he joined the team. It was also confirmed by Champions League winner David Alaba in an interview. According to reports, Austrian players were really happy to see Ralf Rangnick as their new manager. Earlier it was decided that the manager will also have the consultancy role at Manchester United but he changed his plans later.

Talking about this game between France and Austria. The host (Austria) was the one who scored the first goal of the game in the 37th minute. It was some goal from Weimann and it was a perfect example of a team game. France was behind in the first 45- minutes.

Since the second half started, France started pushing and kept taking long shots at Austria’s goal. France was ahead of Austria in all aspects but was behind by a goal. Mbappe who came off the bench in the 63rd minute replacing forward Antoine Griezmann scored the equalising goal. The goal in the 83rd minute help France to secure a point against Austria.
