Bruce Prichard took over Vince’s responsibilities on the creative side of things after Vince McMahon retired. Prichard is said to have been in Gorilla Position for last Friday’s “SmackDown” and has taken on several of McMahon’s television positions. While there is no indication on whether Prichard has been appointed permanently, Paul Heyman has emerged as a prospective candidate to manage WWE’s creative direction in the future.
According to Wade Keller on his weekly PWTorchVIP podcast, Heyman with WWE Chairwoman & Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon have a “very pleasant” dynamic these days, which is a far cry from the mid-2000s, when they allegedly butted heads on multiple occasions.
It seems to many who saw both that Paul Heyman and Stephanie get along, as I’ve said in past months, Keller said. There is a genuine chemistry and positive dynamic between them, you know. And things today are very different from, say, 15 to 20 years ago. Therefore, Heyman is a person to watch out for. He has good intelligence. He is also a wrestler.
Keller added that Heyman’s close friendship with Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and Ronda Rousey is another reason why the former ECW creator might join Stephanie and Triple H’s inner circle in the future.
Keller said, “Paul is someone to keep an eye on.” He is extremely intelligent and closely associated with well-known figures like Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, and Roman Reigns. Paul might therefore be a trusted confidant of Triple H and Stephanie, depending on how events turn out. And that would be a strong trio of people capable of leading WWE into the subsequent period in terms of wrestling, Nick [Khan] in terms of business, and Stephanie, Paul, and Paul. So, that’s something to watch out for.
