The WWE roster in 2025 feels more flexible than ever. Stars are switching brands frequently, and many wrestlers are finding new success after a move. For example, Sami Zayn first turned down Seth Rollins’ offer to jump to SmackDown, but later changed his mind and joined the blue brand. The switch gave him the United States Championship and a much-needed boost in confidence.

Other stars, like Roman Reigns and LA Knight, also started showing up on RAW despite being SmackDown regulars. Even Logan Paul, who had a high-profile Netflix segment about joining RAW, has ended up wrestling more on SmackDown.

With so much back-and-forth happening, there are several names who could benefit from leaving RAW. Here are four superstars who should move to another brand for bigger opportunities.

4. Pete Dunne deserves more than being sidelined

Pete Dunne is one of the most skilled performers in WWE today, but he has been underused on RAW. Earlier this year, he teamed up with Tyler Bate as part of the New Catch Republic during WWE’s European tour. Sadly, the team disappeared from TV soon after.

Reports suggest Dunne has worked backstage as a producer, but he’s far too talented to be left behind the curtain. His technical style and intensity make him a valuable addition to any roster. A return to NXT, where he could mentor younger stars while competing himself, would give him the spotlight he deserves.

3. Dragon Lee fits better in NXT

Dragon Lee had a promising start in NXT, even winning the North American Championship. But his time there was cut short when Dominik Mysterio beat him. Since moving to RAW, he has been loosely aligned with the LWO, but the group rarely gets proper TV time.

On the red brand, Lee usually ends up being an opponent for The Judgment Day or used in random tag matches. Sending him back to NXT would make sense, as that brand needs more top-level stars. He could immediately bring energy to a division that currently relies heavily on Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans.

2. Gunther needs a new challenge

Gunther had a long reign as World Heavyweight Champion, but the latter half of it was slowed down by repetitive feuds. After losing the title to CM Punk at SummerSlam and suffering a broken nose, The Ring General is waiting for his return.

But RAW may not be the best place for him when he comes back. With Seth Rollins firmly established as the brand’s top heel, Gunther risks getting lost in the shuffle. SmackDown, on the other hand, has an opening at the top of the card after Roman Reigns and LA Knight’s shift to RAW.

A move to the blue brand would set up fresh rivalries with Cody Rhodes, Brock Lesnar, and even Randy Orton. Gunther’s style would immediately raise the stakes on SmackDown’s main event scene.

1. Rhea Ripley needs fresh rivalries

Rhea Ripley has been one of WWE’s most dominant female stars, but her run on RAW is starting to feel repetitive. She has already had multiple shots at the Women’s World Championship and clashed with Becky Lynch several times.

To keep her momentum alive, Ripley should move to SmackDown. Fans have been waiting for her long-term rivalry with Bianca Belair, and the blue brand would be the perfect stage for it. Matches with stars like Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, or Giulia would also feel fresh and exciting.

A change of scenery would give Ripley more opportunities outside the title picture too, letting her showcase her star power in unique storylines.
