UP vs GG, WPL 2025 Match 3: The third edition of the Women’s Premier League has begun. The third match of this tournament is being played between UP Warriorz and Gujarat Giants at Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on Sunday. After losing the toss, Deepti Sharma’s team came to bat first and scored 143 runs losing nine wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target, Gujarat has lost three wickets at a score of 57. The team suffered its first setback in the form of Beth Mooney, who was made a victim by Harris in the very first over. She could not even open her account. After this, Sophie Ecclestone bowled Dayalan Hemalatha. She also returned to the pavilion without opening her account. After this, Laura and Ashley Gardner took charge, but Ecclestone sent Laura back as well. She was out after scoring 22 runs. Currently, Ashley Gardner and Harleen Deol are present at the crease. The score after 11 overs is 84/3.

UP vs GG, WPL 2025: UP did not have great start

UP Warriorz, playing their first match in this WPL 2025 edition and did not have a great start. The team lost the wickets of both its openers at a score of 22. Deandra Dottin made Kiran Navgire her victim. She could score just 15 runs. After this, Ashley Gardner dismissed Dinesh Vrinda. She returned after scoring just six runs. After this, Uma Chhetri and Deepti Sharma took over the charge. There was a partnership of 51 runs in 44 balls for the third wicket between the two, which was broken by Dottin. She got wicketkeeper batsman Uma caught by Priya Mishra. She was out after scoring 24 runs with the help of four fours.

UP vs GG, WPL 2025: Priya wreaked havoc

Priya Mishra wreaked havoc in this match. This Gujarat bowler took a total of three wickets. She put the team on the backfoot by taking two wickets in the 11th over of the innings. After this, the leg spinner also sent the opposition team’s captain Deepti to the pavilion by getting her caught by Ashleigh Gardner. The 27-year old batsman managed to score 39 runs in 27 balls. Apart from her, Grace Harris scored four, Shweta Sehrawat scored 16, Sophie Ecclestone scored two, Saima Thakor scored 15 runs.

Apart from Priya, Deandra Dottin and Ashleigh Gardner took two wickets each for Gujarat. Whereas, Kashvi Gautam got one wicket.
