Chasing a sizeable target of 402 runs is definitely no easy task. Pressure dropped on the South African batting, and while they got a valiant 114* from AB de Villiers, other South African batsmen failed to provide adequate support. The team was bowled out for a paltry 248 in just 42.5 overs, falling 153 runs short.
The Indian bowlers exhibited fine form, with Sreesanth in the lead with three wickets. Ashish Nehra, Ravindra Jadeja, and Yusuf Pathan each had two wickets, and Praveen Kumar one.
