Laureus World Sports Awards 2025: Full List of Nominees

Nominees for the Laureus World Sports Awards 2025 were announced on March 03 (Monday). Paris Olympic 2024 champions Simone Biles, Leon Marchand and Mondo Duplantis headline this year’s nominees.

The nominees for the six Laureus categories for the Laureus World Sports Awards 2025 were determined following a vote in December by the Laureus Global Media Panel made up of 1,300 members. The International Paralympic Committee also voted for the World Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability Award.

The Laureus World Sports Awards 2025 ceremony will take place in Madrid, Spain, on April 21 recognizing the greatest athletic achievements of 2024 and the best sporting moments from the 25 years since the first Laureus World Sports Awards, in 2000.  

The winners will be voted by the 69 sporting icons of the Laureus World Sports Academy.
