The latest episode of WWE Monday Night RAW from Madison Square Garden ended with one of the biggest surprises of the year. The men’s WarGames match is now officially set. Brock Lesnar joined Team Vision as their fifth member, while Roman Reigns made his own dramatic return to complete Team CM Punk.
The final moments were chaotic. Punk, Cody Rhodes, and Jey Uso were getting the upper hand, only for The Beast to storm in and send Punk and Cody flying across the ring. Just when it looked like Team Vision had taken control, Reigns hit the arena and turned the tide, leading to a massive brawl to close the show.
Here are three simple and clear reasons Brock Lesnar returned on WWE RAW:
3. Lesnar as the New Leader of The Vision
Seth Rollins was removed from The Vision after his injury, leaving the faction without a proper leader. WWE needed a dominant name to fill that void, and Lesnar fits that role perfectly.
Rumors had already suggested that Lesnar might be stepping in as the new head of the group. His return during this segment was the perfect way to cement his place as the powerhouse guiding The Vision into WarGames.
2. Back Into the World Heavyweight Title Picture
Brock Lesnar has been away from the top championship scene for a long time. Returning by attacking CM Punk, the current World Heavyweight Champion, sends a clear message.
This move puts Lesnar straight into the title conversation. After WarGames, WWE could easily set up a major title feud between Punk and Lesnar. It would be a big-money match and a storyline fans would follow closely.
1. Building Toward WrestleMania 41
Survivor Series: WarGames will be the final big event of 2025. Once it ends, WWE officially begins the Road to WrestleMania.
WrestleMania 41 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, and Brock Lesnar is already being promoted for the event. His return on RAW sets the stage early. Whether he becomes a threat to Punk, reunites old rivalries, or starts an entirely new feud, Lesnar is now positioned for a major story heading toward WrestleMania.
