A number of players from Scotland and Thailand have made impressive jumps in the latest ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings, thanks to standout performances at the ICC Women’s Emerging Nations Trophy. One of the brightest names so far is young Scotland all-rounder Darcey Carter, who has turned heads with her remarkable consistency.
Darcey Carter’s Breakout Tournament
At just 20 years old, Carter has delivered three consecutive Player of the Match performances. She has also scored three half-centuries in a row, earning her a massive rise of 35 spots in the T20I batting rankings. With this leap, she now sits at 36th among T20I batters, making her one of the most exciting movers in the latest update.
Australia’s Beth Mooney still holds the top spot among batters, but Carter’s rapid climb has definitely caught global attention.
Other Big Climbers in the Batting Charts
Carter is not the only one making progress. Papua New Guinea veteran Pauke Siaka jumps 15 places to reach 65th, while Netherlands batter Sterre Kalis moves up eight spots to 70th. Their efforts in the tournament have added even more momentum to the updated rankings.
Thailand and Scotland Bowlers Make Their Mark
While Australia’s Annabel Sutherland continues to lead the T20I bowling rankings, several bowlers from the Emerging Nations Trophy have closed the gap with strong early-tournament performances.
Thailand’s spin trio has been especially impressive. Thipatcha Putthawong climbs six spots to 34th, Suleeporn Laomi is up 13 places to 47th, and Sunida Chaturongrattana rises 14 spots to 69th.
Scotland’s bowlers also make strong moves, with Olivia Bell improving nine places to 46th and Abtaha Maqsood jumping nine spots to 55th.
All-rounders Also on the Rise
West Indies star Hayley Matthews remains firmly at No.1 among T20I all-rounders. However, Darcey Carter continues her surge here too, rising 26 spots to 27th. Pauke Siaka also makes a huge jump of 28 places to reach 36th, rounding off a great week for emerging players across the board.
