After Bangladesh decided to bat, the England bowling unit restricted them throughout the innings. The initial damage was caused when Sebastian Morgan picked the first wicket in the third ball of the match. Although Rifat Beg and Mohammad Azizul Hakim Tamim scored 46 runs for the second wicket, the Bangladesh batting lineup fell apart after Beg got out.

The chances of Sri Lanka reaching the semifinals are still alive as they won a tough match against Afghanistan by four wickets at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek.

Afghanistan Post Competitive Total

Afghanistan struggled on a tough wicket but still managed to post 193/10 in 49.5 overs. Opener Osman Sadat held the innings together with a fighting 61, while Azizullah Miakhil and Roohullah Arab gave the team some late momentum.

In the 16th-place playoff of the U19 World Cup 2026, USA registered a comprehensive victory over Scotland by seven wickets at Harare Sports Club.

Batting first, Scotland scored 236 all out, with Theo Robinson scoring an impressive 83. Manu Saraswat added 41 to the total, but the USA bowling attack, led by Ritvik Appidi’s scintillating 4 for 54, made sure that the scoring was kept in check.

USA, in pursuit of 237, were led by an outstanding unbeaten century from Adnit Jhamb. His 116 off 93, with 17 fours and a six, tore apart the Scottish bowling attack.
