In GT vs KKR, Gujarat made a sharp start against Kolkata with both ball and field control. Tim Seifert hit Mohammed Siraj for four on the second ball of the match, but GT answered quickly. Siraj dismissed Ajinkya Rahane on the fourth ball, caught by Rabada at mid-on for 0.  Later, Kagiso Rabada removed Seifert on 3.6 overs after a catch by Glenn Phillips at point. KKR ended the powerplay struggling at 37/3 after 6 overs.

GT vs KKR: Green-Powell Lift KKR in Middle Overs Fight

After slipping to 37/3 in the power play, KKR recovered strongly during the middle overs. Rovman Powell attacked first, scoring quick boundaries and an 84-meter six, while Cameron Green built the innings with controlled power. 

Between overs 7 to 15, KKR moved from 48/3 to 148/6. Green dominated Rashid Khan with 6, 4, 4 in one over and added key runs. GT struck back through Ashok Sharma, Prasidh Krishna, and Rabada with timely wickets.

GT vs KKR: GT Fight Back to Bowl Out KKR for 180

KKR looked set for a huge total after scoring 70/2 between overs 12 and 16 at a run rate of 14, hitting 7 fours and 5 sixes. Cameron Green led the charge, while support came from Ramandeep Singh. 

However, GT produced an excellent death-overs comeback. From 157/6 after 16 overs, KKR lost their last four wickets for just 23 runs. Siraj, Rabada, Prasidh Krishna, and Rashid Khan shared key wickets, restricting KKR to 180 all out in 20 overs.

GT vs KKR: Cameron Green’s 79 kept KKR in the contest

Cameron Green played a vital innings for KKR, scoring 79 runs from 55 balls in a pressure situation. His knock included 7 fours and 4 sixes, showing a fine mix of control and power. With a strike rate of 143.64, 

Green rebuilt the innings after early wickets and then accelerated in the middle overs. He carried the batting effort before being caught by Jos Buttler off Rashid Khan in the final over.

GT’s bowling attack produced a strong collective performance to restrict KKR to 180. Kagiso Rabada led the wicket chart with 3 for 29 in 4 overs, while Mohammed Siraj was highly economical with 2 for 23 at 5.75. Prasidh Krishna added 1 for 32 and maintained pressure through key middle overs. Ashok Sharma claimed 2 wickets, while Rashid Khan took the final scalp. It was a balanced team effort with wickets shared across the unit.
