Along with Nitish Rana’s 91 off 44 balls in a 220-run partnership. Punjab responded with fearless intent as Priyansh Arya scored 43 off 17 and Prabhsimran Singh added 76 off 26. Captain Shreyas Iyer then guided the chase with 71 not out off 36 balls, finishing the match with calm control.

2. 262/2 Target 262 Punjab Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders 2024

In IPL 2024, Punjab Kings completed one of the highest run chases in IPL history by scoring 262 for 2 in just 18.4 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. Kolkata had set a huge target of 261 for 6, with their batters attacking strongly. Punjab began with great intent as Prabhsimran Singh scored 54 off 20 balls. 

Jonny Bairstow then played a remarkable unbeaten innings of 108 off 48 balls, hitting 8 fours and 9 sixes. Shashank Singh supported him with 68 not out off 28 balls, making the chase look controlled and well planned.

3. 247/2 Target 246 Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Punjab Kings 2025

In IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad produced one of the highest run chases in IPL history by scoring 247 for 2 in 18.3 overs against Punjab Kings at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Punjab had posted 245 for 6, with Shreyas Iyer scoring 82 off 36 balls and Marcus Stoinis finishing strongly.

In response, Abhishek Sharma played a remarkable innings of 141 off 55 balls, including 14 fours and 10 sixes. Travis Head supported well with 66 off 37 balls. Their partnership made the chase look simple as Hyderabad completed the target with nine balls remaining.

4. 230/4 Target 228 Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Lucknow Super Giants 2025

In IPL 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore completed one of the highest run chases in IPL history by scoring 230 for 4 in 18.4 overs against Lucknow Super Giants at Ekana Stadium. Lucknow had posted 227 for 3, led by Rishabh Pant’s unbeaten 118 off 61 balls and Mitchell Marsh’s 67 off 37. In reply, Virat Kohli gave a steady start with 54 off 30 balls. The chase was then controlled by Jitesh Sharma, who scored 85 not out off 33 balls, while Mayank Agarwal added 41 not out off 23. Their partnership ensured a calm and well-managed finish.

5. 226/6 Target 224 Rajasthan Royals vs Kings XI Punjab now Punjab Kings 2020

In IPL 2020, Rajasthan Royals completed one of the highest run chases in IPL history by scoring 226 for 6 in 19.3 overs against Kings XI Punjab in Sharjah. Punjab had set 223 for 2, with Mayank Agarwal scoring 106 off 50 balls and KL Rahul adding 69 off 54, 

while Nicholas Pooran finished with 25 off 8. Rajasthan’s chase was shaped by Sanju Samson’s 85 off 42 and Steve Smith’s 50 off 27. Rahul Tewatia then scored 53 off 31, including five sixes in one over, before Jofra Archer finished the match with 13 off 3 balls.

6. 224/8 Target 224 Rajasthan Royals vs Kolkata Knight Riders 2024

In IPL 2024, Rajasthan Royals completed one of the highest run chases in IPL history by scoring 224 for 8 in 20 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. Kolkata had made 223 for 6, led by Sunil Narine’s 109 off 56 balls, with support from Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Rinku Singh. 

Rajasthan started well but lost wickets in the middle overs, which increased pressure. Jos Buttler played a key innings of 107 off 60 balls to keep the chase alive. In the final moments, Rovman Powell scored 26 off 13 balls, and Rajasthan secured victory on the last ball.

7. 224/4 Target 221 Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders 2026

In IPL 2026, the Mumbai Indians added their name to the highest run chases in IPL history by scoring 224 for 4 in 19.1 overs against the Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium. Kolkata had set a target of 221, reaching 220 for 4 with Ajinkya Rahane scoring 67 off 40 balls, 

Angkrish Raghuvanshi 51 off 29, and Rinku Singh 33 off 21. Mumbai’s chase was led by Ryan Rickelton with 81 off 43 and Rohit Sharma with 78 off 38. Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma kept the momentum, while Hardik Pandya finished the game calmly.
