WWE takes its show to Europe this weekend and the buzz around Clash in Italy has been massive to say the least. Some of the biggest battles of the year inside the ring are about to take place in Turin, and the card is genuinely exciting. But the thing is, for every great match on that lineup, there’s a superstar sitting at home watching from the couch that really should’ve been there.

Some of the notable absentees from the Clash in Italy card have fans scratching their heads. We are talking about main event talent, champions, fan favourites that have been totally left out.

So let’s break it down here are the biggest WWE stars missing Clash in Italy 2026 and why each wrestler’s absence will feel personal:

5. Seth Rollins: The Visionary Needed a European Setting

We’re going to start with Seth Rollins. He’s currently feuding with Bron Breakker on Monday Night Raw and it’s one of the more interesting feuds going on right now. The momentum is there, the story is hot. Seth has always been the kind of performer that elevates every event he’s on. Somehow WWE decided to completely leave off one of their most reliable main-eventers from the Clash in Italy card.

This is a guy that’s main evented a few WrestleMania’s. He knows how to play a crowd, especially an international crowd. European fans are crazy passionate and a Seth Rollins match in Turin would have been electric. The options were plenty, whether it was a continuation of his Breakker feud or a brand new singles match. WWE just didn’t want to utilise them.

When you have a performer of Seth’s calibre at your disposal and you still can’t find a spot for him on a five-match international card, that’s a creative problem, plain and simple.

4. Tiffany Stratton: A Champion With Nowhere to Go

The five most overrated WWE female superstars, where hype often outweighs performance. Learn how they can improve to meet the expectations of wrestling fans.
Tiffany Stratton (WWE)

Tiffany Stratton won the Women’s United States Championship about a month ago and you’d think that would mean that big things were on the horizon. Title wins are meant to be springboards, no? The 27-year-old Buff Barbie has been riding the wave with no real destination since the gold medal.

This was a moment that Clash in Italy was perfectly suited for. An international crowd, a championship belt, and a big name opponent would have gone a long way in making Tiffany a legitimate title holder. There is something about international events that breeds careers. Ask any star who’s had a breakout moment in front of a passionate European audience.

Instead, she’s missing out on the show altogether. It’s a subtle but damaging message that WWE doesn’t quite know what to do with her yet. Tiffany has the talent, look and charisma to be a top women’s star for years to come. But she needs a booking that actually delivers on that potential.

3. Bron Breakker: Lots of Momentum, No Place to Use It

Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker has been on a rampage since his return at WrestleMania 42. The 28-year-old is hitting his stride at the perfect time he’s physically imposing, has undeniable presence, and just picked up a big win over Seth Rollins at Backlash 2026. Every logic says he should be a big part of Clash in Italy.

WWE has been very clear that they view Bron as a future main-eventer. And that’s great but future main eventers are made in the here. You can’t say someone has top-star potential and not put them on major PLEs. Every major stage Bron misses is an opportunity to build the aura that top stars need.

There were options, whether it be a rematch with Rollins, a power clash with another big name or even a spot in a high-profile tag match. None of them were taken by the creative team.

2. Charlotte Flair: The Queen Is Without a Throne at Clash in Italy

Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair is a 14-time Women’s Champion, and quite possibly the most decorated women’s wrestler in WWE history. She’s been making regular appearances on SmackDown and even participated in a high-profile six-woman tag match at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIV last weekend. She is clearly active and available and ready to play.

And yet, Clash in Italy comes around arguably the biggest international spotlight of the year and Charlotte isn’t on the card. Not in a title fight, not in a featured fight, not even in a quick showcase fight. Nothing.” “Nothing.

“Her mere presence adds credibility to any event she attends.” Charlotte in front of an Italian crowd, under the bright lights of a major PLE, would have given serious attention to the women’s division. At a time when WWE needs its women’s programming to feel important on international shows, leaving Flair off the card is baffling.

1. Liv Morgan: Biggest Clash Miss Italy 2026

And we’re at number one Liv Morgan. Miracle Kid. The Women’s Champion on Monday Night RAW. If there was a superstar that should have been a cornerstone of Clash in Italy, it was her.

Italian fans already have an amazing relationship with Liv. Remember that beautiful custom Liva Lisa art that fans made to pay tribute to her? That sort of passion from the crowd is what makes international events so special and WWE had the perfect star to tap into all of that. She could’ve walked into Turin as champion, defended her title and created a memory that would have lived in WWE highlight reels for years.

Biggest problem? With Stephanie Vaquer on the shelf right now, there’s just no feud in place for Liv’s championship. And that’s not a talent failure, that’s a booking failure. “You’ve got your best champion, a willing city, a passionate crowd and you can’t put a match together for her? That’s a creative misstep that’s hard to justify.

Not only is Liv Morgan missing Clash in Italy disappointing for fans but it could affect how much the entire event draws. Champions are supposed to be the soul of these shows. If she’s not there, a large portion of the women’s story on Raw has no direction this weekend.

WWE Must Treat Their Talent Better At International Events

Triple H

Clash in Italy looks like it’ll be a fun show with some really good matches on paper. But when you see the names sitting this one out Rollins, Stratton, Breakker, Charlotte, and Liv Morgan it’s hard not to feel like the card could’ve been so much bigger.

WWE uses international events as a way to grow their global brand. They deserve the biggest names, the biggest beefs, the most iconic moments. Here’s hoping Triple H and the creative team are taking notes and making sure the next European show is loaded up with the fully loaded card these passionate fans deserve.
