Lee Valley White Water Centre, Waltham Cross, United Kingdom is expected to host the 2023 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships this year. Canoeing will bring its complete force down on one of the leading cities of UK. The hosts of the London Olympic 2012 shall see a surge in the number of visitors, viewers and athletes as one of the biggest Championships in the sport of Canoeing will be launched soon. The event will take about 6 days to be completed and there shall be 300 athletes participating in the event.
The canoeing event will see athletes from 50 countries competing with each other. This event is a benchmark in the field of Canoeing because this will be a timed event and the athletes will compete with each other to enter the race for the Olympics and the Paris 2024 Olympic games. The World Titles in Canoe/Kayak Slalom and Kayak Cross shall also be considering the results that are achieved from this particular event.

Frequency of Event: Yearly, Except in the years of Olympics.
There will be several upstream and downstream gates that the athletes will have to pass. The idea will be to navigate through the water course and compete in varied events Canoe (C1) and Kayak (K1). There will also be team events in this particular league and world championship. The growth on the number of athletes and participants have increased largely since the last year events in this category of sports. More and more networks are fighting for the broadcasting rights to show the sport and the event on TV. The races promote the idea of enthusiasm and the feeling of accomplishment as well.
The idea of Canoeing began with a mutual interest for race when going for fishing or rowing among men. Eventually it turned and became an international sport. This World Championship brings the athletes one step closer to the international events and gives the opportunity to entertain and host in the best possible manner. The sport is an exciting sporting experience that is also placed internationally. The hospitality from the British is expected to be the icing on the top for the athletes and the visitors both.
