Bangladesh ODI Cricket Records – Individual Batting Records for Highest Average in Each Batting Position
In One Day Internationals for the Tigers, Shakib Al-Hasan has the highest batting average. The top-ranked all-rounder started playing ODIs in 2006. Shakib has amassed 6600 runs at an average of 38 in 215 ODI games.
In its cricket career, the Bangladesh cricket team has had many highs and lows. They participated in One Day Internationals prior to receiving Test status in 2000. At the 1999 Cricket World Cup, they defeated the Pakistani squad. Everyone anticipated that they would eventually emerge as a potent squad. Yet Bangladesh did not live up to expectations. Once they reached the quarterfinals of the 2015 Cricket World Cup, their cricket team started to become significantly more important. India overcame Bangladesh to go to the semi-finals. In the ensuing ODI series, they were able to defeat them. Following that, they defeated the ODI teams of South Africa and Pakistan as well.

Shakib Al Hasan
The most well-known player to have come out of Bangladesh cricket circles is, without question, Shakib Al Hasan. Shakib is an essential part of Bangladesh’s line-up because he is a true all-rounder. He has consistently delivered for his nation over the years. Shakib originally gained attention when he played cricket for a number of communities close to his hometown of Magura. He spent some time developing his abilities at a government-run sports facility before being chosen for the Under-19 team for the tri-series against England and Sri Lanka. In the championship game, he helped the side defeat Sri Lanka with an 86-ball century and three wickets. As a result, he was chosen for the series against Zimbabwe.
Rubel Hossain
After Rubel’s full, brisk ball tore out James Anderson’s stumps during the 2015 World Cup, Nasser Hussain declared, “The Bangladesh Tigers have knocked the England Lions out of the World Cup.” Rubel sprinted all over the Adelaide Oval as Bangladesh advanced to the knockout stages for the first time. That is the image that the pace bowler will never forget.
Abdur Razzak
Abdur Razzak, a naturally left-arm spinner who is tall and orthodox, strikes one as a bowler who can worry the batters on sluggish, scuff-prone sub-continental surfaces. He made his professional debut in 2001–2002, helping Khulna win the nation’s first-ever national league championship. The following year, Victoria Sports Club won the Dhaka Premier division because of its strong performance. He was selected for the five-match one-day series against Zimbabwe in 2004 by Bangladesh A due to his regular performances. His performance persisted as he amassed 15 wickets in the series, including 7 for 17 in a match in Dhaka.
Mahmudullah
Mahmudullah began his career as a bowler before switching to become a batsman who could bowl useful off-breaks, just like Sanath Jayasuriya, Kevin Pietersen, Shoaib Malik, Steve Smith, and many others. At the Adelaide Oval, he hit 103 against England to become the first Bangladeshi World Cup century and assist his team in going to the knockout round for the first time.
Mahmudullah, a Mymensingh native, scored 55 and 42 against Zimbabwe A on his first-class debut for Bangladesh A at the age of 19. In a one-day international match against Sri Lanka in July 2007, he made his debut in cricket and had an immediate effect, taking 2 wickets and scoring 36 runs, but the effort was in vain as Bangladesh won the match.
Tamim Iqbal
The best opening batter ever produced by the Bangladesh squad was Tamim Iqbal. Iqbal holds the record for Bangladesh in One Day International runs. Beginning in 2007, he participated in 219 ODI games and amassed 7666 runs at an average.
