The Spaniard was last ranked world number two in June and started Wimbledon 2024 as world number three. He still has a long way to go and needs to win multiple events to have a chance to be on top. Meanwhile, Sinner has been consistent with his performances and needs to register a couple of wins in every event to maintain the lead over Alcaraz.

Carlos Alcaraz also became the second fastest man to record 200 career ATP wins after defeating Tallon Griekspoor in the second round of China Open 2024

It took him 252 matches to complete the feat as only John McEnroe has achieved it faster in 245 matches.

Rafael Nadal is placed third with 255 matches, while Novak Djokovic and Sinner needed 274 matches to achieve the feat. Meanwhile, Roger Federer reached the mark in his 302nd match.
