Indian cricket team defeated England by a huge margin of 50 runs. It was a dominating performance from the Indian men not only with the bat but also with ball. This was Rohit Sharma’s 13 consecutive win in T20Is as captain of Indian team. Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya also had a new record in this game.
Gujarat Titans’ skipper became the first-ever Indian player to score a fifty and take a four-fer in the same T20I match. This was an all-round performance from the Indian star all-rounder (Hardik Pandya). During India’s batting, he played some amazing shots and with the help of 6 boundaries and 1 maximum, he reached his maiden T20I fifty in the first game of the series against England. Hardik’s explosive 51-run inning helped India post a huge total of 199 on the board for England. English batters were struggling and the pacer Hardik made them struggle more with his exquisite bowling.
Hardik took 4 wickets in the game starting in his very first over. He dismissed two English batters in his very first over by giving just 5 runs. Liam Livingstone who was in a great touch in this year’s IPL, was departed for a duck, credits to Hardik Pandya’s excellence. For his wonderful performance with the bat and ball, Hardik was named ‘Player of the match’ in this first T20I against England.
