Team of Spain

The Spain National Football team is also recognised by nicknames like “La Roja”, which means “the Red One”, and “La Furia Roja”, meaning “the Red Fury“. Since 1920, the team has represented Spain in numerous international men’s football competitions. According to reports, the team is considered as one of eight national teams to have been crowned world champions, having participated in nearly 16 of 22 FIFA World Cups and qualifying consistently since the edition of 1978.

However, Spain has successfully managed to register three continental titles to their names by appearing at 11 out of 16 UEFA European Championships. Moreover, their best achievement has been reaching the final during the 2029-21 season. Their side is, however, being led by the head coach, Luis Enrique. However, Enrique has not led Spain to any major titles as of now, and is said to rebuild the squad from scratch. Thus, it will be very exciting to witness the team’s progress under his leadership.

Also, Spain is considered as the only national team to achieve three consecutive major titles, that include two European Championships in 2008 and 2012, and a FIFA World Cup that was held outside of Europe in 2010. During the period of 2008 to 2013, the Spain National Football team won the FIFA Team of the Year. Furthermore, from the beginning of 2007 to the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup, the team has managed to achieve around 35 consecutive undefeated matches. Overall, their extraordinary achievements have led many experts and commentators to consider the 2008–2012 Spain squads one of the best ever sides in football history. And, one of the team’s biggest strengths is the presence of youngsters into the new team.
