Football fans in Singapore need to look no further to find out how to watch the upcoming FIFA World Cup. The competition, being hosted by three countries, will begin on 11th June with the Final being played on 19th July.
The 2026 tournament will be the largest in the competition’s history. For the first time, the FIFA World Cup will feature 48 teams, expanding the competition significantly.
It will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and will run from June 11 to July 19, 2026. With the expanded format, the competition will grow from 64 matches to 104 matches played over 39 days.

Ahead of the World Cup, it has been announced that Singapore’s national broadcaster, Mediacorp, has secured the local rights for the tournament. It is worth noting that the FIFA World Cup 2026 is a part of a wider agreement with FIFA that runs through 2028.

Medicorp will stream every match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 across its digital and free-to-air platforms. The tournament is set to feature 104 matches, all of which will be available through Mediacorp’s platform.
It is worth noting that one of the major highlights for viewers is the expanded free coverage. For the 2026 tournament, 28 matches will be available without a subscription.
These free matches will be broadcast on Channel 5 and streamed on Mewatch. The lineup includes some of the tournament’s biggest games:
- The opening match
- 23 group stage matches
- Both semi-finals
- The third-place play-off
- The final
Fans who want to watch every game of the tournament will be able to access the full schedule through Mewatch and Mediacorp’s partner platforms once subscription details are announced.
That said, further details of the subscription model are still awaited, but all signs point to it not being too heavy on the pockets of football fans.
