Indian cricket team are currently playing against West Indies in the 5-match T20Is in Trinidad. Indian team are leading this series by 2-1 after the visitors defeated the host by 7 wickets in the third T20I on Tuesday, 2nd August. All-rounder Hardik Pandya has opened up about his role in the team. Hardik Pandya in an interview said that he is happy with his role in the team and says he can contribute in the team equally with the bat and the ball.

The star all-rounder (Hardik Pandya) has been in exceptional form since he was named captain of the new IPL franchise Gujarat Titans. The skipper was the top-scorer for his team in the IPL and also bowled some exceptional spells in IPL 2022. Hardik Pandya had a back problem for which he was told by the medical team to avoid bowling. But now he is fully fit and feels he can be that fourth or fifth bowler that India need in a team.

Hardik Pandya has done very well in recent series not just with bat but with the ball as well.

“Proudly I can say that I can bowl four overs as a third seamer or a fourth seamer, where I can contribute as equally as what I do with my bat,” said Hardik Pandya as reported by ESPNcricinfo.com.
